Central Vermont Peace and Justice is a collective of individuals working together to promote peace and justice locally, nationally and globally. We meet the third Thursday of each month, 7:00 - 8:30 pm, at the UU Church on West Street in Rutland to discuss, plan and decide on upcoming events, actions, and programs. What We Do:

Weekly vigils on Friday at noon, Main Street Park, Routes 4/7, Rutland

Monthly educational programs to inform and activate local Rutland area residents

Maintain a progressive calendar of events for the Rutland Area activist community.

Counter Recruitment in Area Schools

Educational and legislative work on issues such as Depleted Uranium

Alliances with statewide and national peace and justice organizations

Organization of transportation and support for statewide and national demonstrations

Public awareness campaigns in local and statewide media

Organization of local demonstrations and other non-violent peaceful acts of conscience

Maintain a Library of Books and Videos
