Building Community through Local Food A Harvest Celebration with Frances Moore Lappe
Join Frances Moore Lappe, author of Diet for a Small Planet, Hope’s Edge and Democracy’s Edge, as she speaks on the importance of democracy, local foods, sustainable communities, and hope. Immediately following the presentation we will share a simple meal prepared with local foods, including pizza from NOFA’s portable oven. Please join local farmers and producers as we celebrate the bountiful harvest of our Rutland area community. Friday September 22 6:30 pm (doors open at 6:00) Rutland Intermediate School • 63 Library Street, Rutland Free and Open to the Public. • First come, first served.
